Needs somebody

2 of 5 · The whole queue, laid out by kind. Patricia Jennings visited on Aug 16 and nobody has logged a follow-up. Her number is on the row; so is the place to write the call down. Open her page →

By kind, and oldest first within each — the age of the item, never anything about the person.

How this works

Done records that somebody handled it; Dismiss records that it was not something to act on. Both are kept, and neither comes back unless it fires afresh. Snooze hides a row from everybody until the day you pick, then it returns at the age it always had.

Every row is worked out from records this church already keeps — a check-in, a schedule, a logged conversation — and clears itself when they change.

What opens on a row: logging the call, and “not until Tuesday”

Log a follow-up opens one field under the row, already begun — Visitor follow-up — — with Save and Cancel. Saving writes the conversation to her page and the detectors look again straight away, so a visitor who has now been called leaves the queue without anybody pressing Done.

Snooze offers Tomorrow Next week and a day of your choosing, three months at most. The row is hidden from everybody until then, and a Snoozed 1 chip appears beside the kinds: “Snoozed by Sarah Whitfield until Sep 8, 2026 · Bring back now”. Nothing is ever overdue; when the day comes the row is simply back.

Hand off asks who should follow up, and why, in words — the same handoff as on a person’s page.

There is no “send a text” here. A reply to a text sent from a queue would reach nobody today, so the queue does not invite one.

How the page reads when the queue is empty

Nothing needs somebody right now. The detectors look again every hour.

A row appears here when something has gone quiet or gone wrong — a gift that never finished, a visitor nobody has called, a deposit that does not tie.

The other sentences this queue can say (none stands today)
Went quiet
quietly moved to inactive — worth a call before it becomes a pattern (Log a call)
Came back
came back — still a visitor on paper, and the label should catch up with the person (Open their page)
Not yet connected
was contacted, but hasn’t landed anywhere — no group, no serving, nothing since (Log a follow-up)
Still a visitor
has been a visitor for months with nothing on record — is the relationship still alive? (Log a call)
Serving went quiet
served in a steady rhythm, and hasn’t lately — worth asking how they are, not where they went (Log a call)
Nobody has said
gave, and is on the file with no one having said who they are (Set their status)
Asked to join
said they would like to join something, and nobody has answered in two weeks (See what they asked)
Came back after a while
was here again after a long while away — somebody may want to say welcome back (Log a conversation)
Care cases
the care case you carry has not moved lately — worth a touch, or an honest close (Go to the case; the case’s owner alone sees it)
Prepaid pledges
prepaid — their suggested answer awaits confirmation (Confirm or discard)
Money gone quiet
has gone quiet — money moved through it regularly, and nothing has arrived since … Check the connection or forwarding; a gift landing clears this (Open its waiting room)
